Adding Your Logo
A good website template will allocate a clearly defined place for a logo. It is excellent business practice for every business to have a unique logo, as your customers come to recognise your logo and this helps in "branding" your business.
According to various website usability studies, the place people most expect your logo to be on your website is in the top left corner. Equally, they expect that logo to be clickable - and to take them back to your home page (the first, or "landing" page of your website).
Whatever the layout of the website template you choose, it seems wise to expect a defined place for a logo.
If the template has a background image, or the logo is part of a graphic, then the template should make it clear and easy for you - how do you put your own logo in there?
One method that this template store uses, is to design a template with a logo placeholder in place, and then provide you with a blank logo image that you can pop your own logo into. The so-called "blank " image should have the correct background, so that when you drop your logo in, it looks seamless. You don't want to have a white block with your logo in, hovering over your attractive template.
A website template store that has its customers' best interests at heart, will offer a service whereby you provide the logo, and they will send back an image which integrates your logo into the website template design.
